“Is that a warning?”

If you accuse me of forgery, I’ll tell the court you approved everything and changed your story out of jealousy.”
Elena opened her phone.
“Then I suppose these messages are jealousy too.”
She read aloud.
“‘Tessa signed this morning.
She doesn’t care where I sleep as long as Kieran is provided for.’ You sent that three weeks ago.”
“I was trying to calm you down.”
“You lied to calm me down.”
Graham gathered the pages.
“Nobody deletes a message or contacts the lender without speaking to me first.”
Callum looked toward the staircase.
“Where’s my son?”
“He’s with my sister,” I said.
