My husband came home and said, “I’m in love with another woman, but I still love you, so I’ll just live in both houses” — I thought he was joking until he began packing, so I taught him a lesson he never expected from me.

My husband, Callum, and I have been married for eight years and have a lovely five-year-old son named Kieran.

Callum was always an incredibly devoted dad and a caring partner.

I genuinely thought we were happy.

But yesterday evening, he stepped into the kitchen and sat down across from me.

“I need to tell you something, and I need you to just listen,” he said.

“I’ve fallen in love with a woman named Elena.

But don’t worry, I still love you, too.

I’m not leaving you.”

I actually laughed, assuming this was some kind of awful prank.
