My thirteen-year-old son sold his prized electric guitar to buy a specialized wheelchair for a girl in his class… but early the next morning, two armed police officers showed up at our front door. And what they revealed left me completely paralyzed.

Inside rested a beautiful Gibson Les Paul guitar.

Its polished cherry sunburst finish gleamed beneath the living room lights.

Julian stared in disbelief.

“Is that…?”

Nathan nodded.

“It’s yours.”

My son’s mouth opened, but no words came out.

Officer Cooper smiled.

“We heard you gave up your guitar to help a friend. We didn’t want you to lose your love of music.”

Julian looked at me.

“Mom?”

I was already crying.

Nathan continued.

“Every officer on my shift wanted to contribute. We contacted a local music shop, explained what happened, and arranged this gift.”

Julian slowly approached the case.

He carefully touched the guitar.

“It’s beautiful.”

Maya rolled toward him, smiling.

“Now you’d better promise you won’t sell this one tomorrow!”

Everyone laughed.

Julian wiped his eyes.

“I promise.”

Then he looked around the room.

“Thank you. All of you.”

Nathan shook his head.
