I unlocked my phone.
“I need you to watch something.”
He took it and watched the video twice.
His expression barely changed until he zoomed in on Jenna.
“No.”
“I’m sorry.”
“That’s not her.”
“It is.”
“She’s supposed to be at Megan’s tonight.”
“She wasn’t.”
Daniel sprang to his feet.
“Where is Dad?”
“Daniel.”
“Where is he?”
“At the hotel.”
He headed toward his truck, but I grabbed his arm.
“Don’t.”
“He has his hands on my wife.”
“I know.”
“Your husband is sleeping with my wife.”
His voice cracked.
I stepped in front of him.
“And if you go into that hotel furious, what happens?”
“I don’t care.”
“I do.”
He stared at me.
“How are you this calm?”
“I’m not.”
I held up my trembling hands.
“I followed your father for 20 miles. I watched Jenna pull in. I took pictures because I knew if I didn’t, they could look us in the face tomorrow and say we imagined it.”
