At 62, I Decided to Go on Vacation Alone for the First Time, Without My Children. But When My Daughter Received This Photo of Me at the Beach, She Started Screaming, “MOM, GET AWAY FROM THAT MAN IMMEDIATELY! YOUR LIFE IS IN DANGER!” – Happy paws

His answer made me even more anxious.

The next three hours were the longest of my life.

Daniel stayed in the hotel café while I waited in my room for my children.

When Sarah and Michael finally arrived, my daughter immediately threw her arms around me.

“Forgive me, Mom.”

“I don’t even know what I’m supposed to forgive you for yet.”

We went downstairs to the café.

Daniel stood up when he saw us.

Michael approached him.

“I remember you,” my son said.

“And I remember you, Michael. You were thirty-five back then.”

They shook hands.

I couldn’t take it anymore.

“Will somebody finally tell me what’s going on?”

Michael sat beside me.

“Mom, you always thought Dad was only worried about his illness during those final months.”

“Yes.”

“But something else was troubling him too.”

Sarah wiped away her tears.

“Dad knew you were unhappy.”
