I grabbed my phone and called Wesley Crane, my attorney.
He answered on the fourth ring.
“Grant.”
“Something is wrong with the accounts.”
“Wesley?”
“I know.”
“What do you mean you know?”
“Your wife filed for an emergency order to protect marital assets.”
“She can’t do that without my approval.”
Wesley gave a tired exhale.
“Grant, the purpose of an emergency order is generally not to ask the other spouse for permission.”
“This is ridiculous. Unlock the accounts.”
“I can’t.”
“Then call whoever can.”
“Sit down.”
“I’m not sitting down.”
“Then at least listen.”
“Wesley, my wife took my son and emptied my house while I was away.
I need access to my money.”
“She did not empty your accounts.”
