Do not rely on antacids or home remedies to see whether potentially serious symptoms disappear.
Unusual Fatigue or Sudden Weakness
Unusual tiredness can occasionally occur before or during a heart attack. Some people report feeling exhausted despite getting adequate sleep or becoming unusually weak while completing routine tasks.
This symptom may be particularly easy to overlook because fatigue can result from many other conditions, including poor sleep, anemia, infections, and stress.
What to watch for: Sudden, unexplained weakness or overwhelming fatigue accompanied by breathlessness, chest discomfort, nausea, or sweating needs urgent evaluation.
Fatigue alone is not proof of a heart problem, but a significant and unexplained change in how you feel deserves attention.
Dizziness, Lightheadedness, or Fainting
A heart attack cansometimes affect blood circulation enough to cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting. You might feel unsteady, weak, or as though you are about to lose consciousness.
These symptoms can also occur with dehydration, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, or abnormal heart rhythms.
